Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 March 2026
SiteCreds is operated by Gridmark Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Registered address: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
1. What SiteCreds Does
SiteCreds is a qualification wallet and career evidence app for construction workers. It stores qualification card photos, logs work hours, captures portfolio evidence photos, and generates PDF evidence packs.
2. Data Storage — Local First
All data you enter into SiteCreds is stored locally on your device. This includes:
- Your display name and trade
- Qualification card photos and details
- Time log entries
- Portfolio evidence photos and descriptions
- Site history, induction records, and CPD entries
By default, none of this data leaves your device. There is no account creation, no cloud upload, and no server-side storage in version 1.0.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
SiteCreds does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your location
- Analytics or usage data
- Advertising identifiers
- Contact information
- Browsing history
- Any data from other apps on your device
We do not use any third-party analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.
4. Camera and Photo Library Access
SiteCreds requests access to your camera and photo library solely to photograph qualification cards (front and back) and capture portfolio evidence photos.
Photos are stored locally on your device within the app's private storage. They are not uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.
You can deny camera or photo library access and still use all other features of the app.
5. Notifications
SiteCreds may request permission to send local push notifications. These are used solely to remind you when qualification cards are approaching their expiry date. Notification reminders are scheduled at 90, 60, 30, and 7 days before expiry, and on the expiry date.
These notifications are generated entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.
6. PDF Export
When you export a PDF evidence pack, it is generated entirely on your device using your locally stored data. The PDF is shared via the iOS share sheet — you control where it goes (email, AirDrop, Files, etc.). We have no visibility into exported PDFs.
7. Future Features
In future versions, SiteCreds may offer optional cloud backup and data sharing features (such as connecting with employers or assessors). These features will:
- Always be opt-in — never automatic
- Require explicit consent before any data leaves your device
- Allow you to disconnect and revoke access at any time
- Use encrypted transport and storage
If and when these features are introduced, this privacy policy will be updated to reflect the specific data flows involved.
8. Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- Your data exists for as long as you keep the app installed
- Deleting the app removes all SiteCreds data from your device
- You can also delete all data from within the app via Profile → Delete All Data
We have no server-side data to retain or delete.
9. Children's Privacy
SiteCreds is not directed at children under 16. Construction qualification cards are held by working-age individuals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times. You can view, edit, or delete any data within the app.
For version 1.0 (local-only), there is no data held by Gridmark Technologies Ltd to request access to. If cloud features are introduced in future, we will provide a mechanism for data access requests.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
